Robert Coulter is a tuba performer who has been one lucky guy. His career is highlighted by collaborations as member and substitute with prestigious ensembles such as the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra, Louisville Orchestra, Georgia Symphony Orchestra, LaGrange Symphony, and others. These experiences, coupled with his work on cimbasso the Atlanta Scoring Orchestra and projects like the Destiny 2 video game soundtrack, demonstrate his versatility across various musical styles.
Coulter's musical journey extends beyond the orchestral realm. His collaboration with Russell Gunn’s Royal Krunk Jazz Orchestra, and Rascals of Ragtyme, showcase his affinity for jazz. Meanwhile, his passion for chamber music is evident in his tenure with ensembles like the Premiere Brass Quintet, Southern Seminary Faculty Brass Quintet, and two-time international award winning Derby City Tuba Quartet, as well as a performance for the Emory Chamber Music Society.
